The graphics look good, but will not be winning awards anytime soon. They do sell you on the feeling of wandering around the American Rockies as the sun is setting. The different colours of the sky, as well as how orange-red the whole canyon gets is quite immersive. It is just a shame we cannot see more, since the reels cover up a big part of the image. A few animations here and there also add to this slot’s visual flair.

How it Works
You play this release on a five-reel board with twenty-five fixed paylines. This means we cannot turn individual paylines on or off to our liking. Wins are granted by finding three or more matching icons in adjacent positions, starting with the leftmost reel. All winning combinations must follow one of the twenty-five active paylines to award a cash prize. Pragmatic Play have not made any changes to the user interface, which should make Wolf Gold easy to navigate for veteran players. We can spin the reels, set up Auto Play and change our bet in the bottom right corner. In the bottom left, we can look at the paytable, the settings, and toggle sound on or off. Players can bet between £0.25 and £125 on each spin.
Available symbol designs can be split into lower value playing card royals and higher value animal icons. We are not huge fans of the letters, as they do not really fit the theme. In contrast, the animal symbols look awesome. A cheetah, a wild horse, an eagle and a buffalo can all be found on the playing field. The wolf plays the important part of Wild, and can substitute for all icons except for those. Those are the rocky mountain Scatters and the full moon bonus symbol.
Bonus Rounds
Scatters can only appear on the first, third and fifth reel. Find one of each Scatter in those three positions simultaneously to win a free spins round. You get five free spins, during which the second, third and fourth reel are combined into one giant reel. This means any icon present in those reels will appear as one giant symbol. You can three additional free spins by finding three Scatters again during the special feature. There is no limit on how many times this bonus can be retriggered either.
Land six or more bonus icons on each position to win the money re-spin special feature. During this bonus, the moon symbols will be locked in place, while all other reels are emptied. The slot will re-spin all reels, which can place new bonus icons in those empty areas. When this happens, the number of re-spins is reset. Players get three re-spins at the beginning of the round. All moon symbols have a cash prize attached to them. To score these prizes, you need the special feature to end. This can be done by filling all positions with moon icons, or by running out of re-spins. All special symbol cash prizes are added together and granted as a payout.
The moon icons can also reveal the mini and major fixed jackpots. In order to win the Mega fixed jackpot, players need all fifteen positions on the board to be filled with bonus symbols. It is awarded on top of the standard payouts you receive. Mini, Major and Mega jackpots are worth 30x, 100x and 1000x, respectively.
